Fall Fun

Over at Scraps of Color I have been participating in a "Use Your Stash" challenge. Its a three part/week step where you make page kits, create a LO using your page kit and the last part/step is to use your scraps. The last part is still a work in progress for me. I have way too many scraps and I just can't seem to get rid of them. So today I'm sharing the first LO using the page kit I made from my scrap stash. I decided to use a fall theme since I knew thats something I'd use fairly soon. The pictures in the LO of DD selecting her pumpkin and dressing it once she got home. She calls it her princess prirate pumpkin!

SOC Anniversary Blog Hop

Celebrate Sistahood Blog Hop In honor of Scraps of Color's 7th Anniversary, myself along with some talented papercrafters, have teamed up to honor and celebrate sistahood and the wonderful women in our lives who make us laugh, cry, shout, scream, play, live. We honor through our creativity and sharing our stories during this blog hop. Each sistah blogger will inspire you with her creativity and will also be offering up some blog candy! What is blog candy you ask? It's a giveaway! So sit back and get ready to be inspired with the Celebrate Sistahood Blog Hop. Just start here, check out what I've created, follow the rules for entry and then move on to the next blog hop participant for your chance to win again and again. Be sure to visit each blog between Friday, October 21 and Sunday, October 23 for more inspiration and chances to win. This hop closes on October 23, 2011 11:59pm est. Winners will be posted on each blog on or before October 28, 2011. So be sure to check back!

For this hop I created an 8x8 LO using a photo from a recent scrap-cation that I went to in Hagerstown, Maryland. We had so much fun scrappin', learning, chatting and eating that some of us barely went to sleep! I created an 8x8 LO because this LO will also be included in my Mirror Mirror Challenge album. I have met some special sista-friends as a result of scrapbooking. Scrapbook friends are a cut above the rest!

Now what's a hop without blog candy? Feast your eyes on this wonderful Colorbok Nature's Garden Theme scrapbooking kit. It includes over 200 pieces which includes an 8x8 album, stickers, paper, tags and other embellishments. All you need to do to qualify to win this wonder blog candy is to leave a comment on this post, post will be accepted until the close of the hop on October 23 11:59 pm est.

Now just hop on over to the remaining blogs for some great inspiration and the opportunity to win some scrappin' goodies.

Retreat Projects

Today I'm sharing two of the 'make and take' projects that we completed at the retreat earlier this month. The mini door hanger was made using CTMH products including the new cricut cartridge. This was my first time using a quilling tool for the formation of the flowers, tweezers will work just fine too! The other project was glass etching, this was the second time I tried etching. I like the end result better this time. Thanks to Sharon and Lisa for providing the supplies and leading the demos!

Happy Monday

Its Columbus Day but I'm at work, I'm thankful for my job though! I see that I now have 100 blog followers so I'll post my blog candy tomorrow as I went to a retreat over the weekend so I need to get back into the swing of things. Today I'm sharing one of the projects that I worked on while I was at the retreat. It is a chipboard mini of my DD's 10th birthday party. I like the final project and she did too, I guess thats all that matters. I'll share more retreat projects later this week too.

White Linen

Today I'm sharing a LO where I used one of my latest little tools, the SEWeasy. The verdict is still out; I'm not sure whether I like it or not but I guess since I can't seem to get my sewing machine going this is it. The pictures in the LO were taken in July 2010 at an All White fundraising event that DH and I attended. The photographer wasn't very good so the pictures aren't that good. I completed this LO for an All Stitched Up challenge over at Scraps of Color
