5K

Today I'm sharing a LO using a picture that DD and I took before we participated in a recent 5K. I walked the whole time but she walked and ran so she finished seven minutes before me, we both finished in under an hour. It was a cool, hazy day since it had rained the night before and morning of the 5K. I used my SLICE to cut the embellishments.

Cricut Card

I'm finally done with one of the projects I have been working on for the cruise. Today I'm sharing a card that I created for the card exchange, I used my WIMG cartridge for the first time. I got the inspiration for the card from the Cardmking with the Cricut book and I used paper from an old CTMH paper pack.

Wednesday Wanderings

Its Wednesday, and I have just ten more days before I head out of town for a vacation. I haven't been able to do too much scrappin' lately as I've got so much going on and now its down to the 'wire' so I've got to get packed and 'psyched' for my trip. As most of you already know I'm headed on my very first cruise and its a scrapbooking cruise. My dear friend Sharon was a grand prixe winner in Provocraft's Cricut 5th Anniversary Celebration Promotion and she decided to take me along. I am so thankful and I'm looking forward to lots of rest, relaxation and fun. I'm planning to take lots of pictures so there will be lots to share too! I hope to have somethng to share before I leave next week!

The Lion King

It is so nice outside and I'm getting a little anxious since I'm off on Friday and getting out of town for the weekend. Today I'm sharing a LO without any pictures, I just used some misc. paper and K&K chipboard stickers along with my ticket stub and program cover all from my stash. My daughter and I recently went to see the Lion King along with two other girls from her Girl Scout troop. It was a beautiful play and I'm glad that we were able to go, we had so much fun on our girls evening out! This LO is my submission for Challenge #2 over at Let's Get Sketchy. Its a new blog with some great designers so if you're looking for some sketch challenges you should check them out!

Happy 100th

In case you didn't know the Girl Scouts of America are celebrating their centennial this year. Today is a kick-off with many activities all over the world in honor of this great women's organization. I am proud to say that I was once a girl scout and now my daughter is one, she is a proud member of Troop 3008. My daughter's troop is currently preparing for a trip to Washington, DC in June where they will participate in a sing along as part of the 100th year celebration. So if you happen to see a girl scout today give them a high five for making a difference and being a part of such an awesome organization!

Girls Rock

Today I'm sharing of a LO of DD and some of her friends, they attended VCU's National Women and Girls in Sports Day. This was the second year for DD so we decided to invite two more of her friends to participate. It included a session on nutrition as well as drills and an overview of sports. They also got to watch a women's basketball game where the players wore pink jerseys in support of breast cancer awareness. The pink overlay was something from my scrap stash and I used thickers for the title. The "no craft shopping" ban is over but I'm still trying to use my stash and purchase only whats necessary!

Happy National Crafting Month

Today is the start of National Craft Month and I'm off to a good crafting start. I made a get well card for a co-worker that had surgery today and I sent it over to the hospital before I took a picture. I also finished up two more LOs in the Anytime, Anywhere Scrapbooking Experience. Today I'm sharing a picture of me and my little cousing Josiah, the picture was taken last month while we were visiting my aunt in the hospital. He's the grandson to my aunt that recently passed, Josiah is six months old and the youngest member of our family.
