Family in Action

Today I'm sharing a LO that I created using sketch #28 of Tiare's Anytime, Anywhere, Scrapbooking Experience challenge.  I haven't been able to scrap lately but I needed some downtime last night so I finished this LO that I started over the weekend.  The LO uses pictures taken during my husband's family reunion that we hosted last month.  The goal of the reunion committee was to involve as many young people as possible; we are so proud of them so we always try to encourage their participation.  These pictures were taken during Sunday's inspirational service where our daughter along with her first cousin served as program leaders.  The speaker for the morning was one of the family's most recent college graduates.  He delivered a dynamic message centered around UNITY which was the reunion's theme.  He graduated from Morehouse in May and will be going to divinity school this fall.

Hello Monday

Today I've got the "Monday Blues" so I'm just going to get to the point of sharing another simple card that I made over the weekend.  I wasn't able to craft or do much of anything else because I've just got too much going on right now.  So much so I don't want to go to go on our little getaway.  I made this card for another one of Tiare'a sketch challenges.  You can vist her blog at iclassygirl for some inspiration.

Thinking of You

Its Saturday again and I'm trying to sneak in another blog post, I am actually at work for a few hours and then I'll be headed to my family celebration in Suffolk.  I'll need to get home and get my DH and DD motivated to get up on the day they'd like to sleep well in the afternoon!  Today's card is one that I put together to send to one of my husband's colleagues that recently lost their son in an accident.  The inspiration and challenge for the card came from Tiare over at iClassygirl.  I used paper scraps, my cuttlebug, fabric flowers (recollections) ribbon and a stamp to complete another simple project using my stash!

Hello Friday

The weekend is here and I've been busy as a "bee" so I haven't had much time for scrappin' which isn't making me very happy.  I'm gearing up for another family reunion (sorta) next Saturday and since I'm in charge of decorating I probably won't have a chance to even start scrappin the pictures from the last reunion.  So today I'm sharing another card that I made this week.  One of my friends recently purchased her first home so I made this card for her.  The inspiration for the card was from a sketch posted on Okieladybug's Scrap N' More.  All the paper was from my scraps, the sentiment from one of the studio G $1 bin stamps and the key was cut using the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge. Have a blessed weekend.

Baby Blessings

Its Saturday and as usual I've got way too much that needs to be done.  I haven't had much time to scrap this week as life would get in the way and I couldn't sneak the time in.  My manager at work asked me to make her a card for a baby shower so I did manage to finish it last night so thats the project I'm sharing today.  I wanted to use a baby diecut on the card but I couldn't find the right shade of brown that would go with the pastels.  The papers used were from my stash along with the block sticker, I cut the onesie from the cricut sampler cartridge and baby blessings from the wild card cartridge.  Wishing you a blessed weekend.
