2008 CPH Reunion

I got so busy toward the end of the last week that I didn't have time to update my blog.  The 2012 family reunion is now over but we still have several family members visiting before they head home.  We had almost 80 people that attended this year's reunion, they voted to have the next reunion in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Today I'm sharing one of the last LOs that I rushed to finish before the reunion.  It is a LO using the group picture from the 2008 reunion held in Atlanta, GA.  We did not go to the runion so I had to make a copy of the picture from my MIL.  Take care, wishing you the best always.

CPH 2006 Reunion

Today I'm sharing a LO using the group picture from the 2006 Clack~Perry~Henderson family reunion.  The reunion was held in Milwaukee, WI: my daughter and I went to the reunion without my husband as he had a job related scheduling conflict.  A large number of the family members pictured here will be here in Virginia for the 2012 reuion that starts tomorrow.  On this LO I used  more soft spoken embellishments along with  the state's diecut from the 50 state cricut cartridge.

Hello Wednesday

Its Wednesday and I'm ready for the weekend to come and go.  My car is still in the shop running up expenses and trying to finish up last minute items for the reunion has me beat.  My original plan was to post everyday this week but as life would have it that hasn't been the case.  Even though we're gearing up for my FIL's reunion this weekend, last month we went to Greenville, NC for my MIL's reunion.  So today I'm sharing a 2 pg LO from the Hyman Gilliam Reunion.  The paper is from one of the DCWV stacks,  stickers and embellishments from Soft Spoken, the SLICE to cut the word reunion and other misc. items from my stash.

Family Affair

We are off and running gearing up for the start of my husband's family reunion on Friday, being hosted here in Virginia.  I'll be so glad when next week this time arrives as we will have said our goodbyes and won't have to think about this particular reunion for another two years and it'll be someone else's turn to host.  So in honor of celebrating families all of my posts this week will be about family reunions.  I'm actually trying to complete some LOs from previous reunions to showcase during the reunion, no one knows I'm doing it so if it doesn't happen it won't be a problem.  Today's LO includes a few pictures from the 1998 Clack, Perry, Henderson (CPH) reunion hosted in Atlanta, GA.  The reunion was held just a few weeks after we got married!

Hello Tuesday

Today is Tuesday and I'm so looking forward to the end of the work week, just because I feel like I need a break already!  If I didn't need to save my beloved PTO I would take me a sanity day this week but with two upcoming family reunions, plus our little getaway at the end of next month I've got to tough it out!  Today I'm sharing another LO that was inspired by the Anytime, Anywhere, Scrapbooking Experience challenge hosted by Tiare over at iclassygirl.com.  The LO uses pictures taken during a recent Pan-Hellenic picnic where the participating sororities and fraternities of the area got together for some food, fun and fellowship.  The LO title was done with thickers and the little tabs were cut with my SLICE and the flourish is recollections.  I'm scrappin' my stash!

Weapons Training

The President was in town today and he got soaked as it started to rain "cats and dogs" as he came out on stage.  I didn't even bother to go out of the house until he was back on the plane leaving as I didn't want to get caught up in the traffic.  Today I'm sharing a LO for my daughter's aikido album, last month they had a weapons training session in the park.  I'm scrappin' my stash, trying to use items that I've had for quite some time so this time I used a paperclip embellishment for the first time,

Father's Day

The year is really flying by we are two weeks into July already!  I hate the fact that I may have to step  away from scrappin' for a bit while I get my house in some order.  I just really need to devote some much needed time to taking care of home and I'm just not "superwoman."  So today I'm sharing the LO that I created using some of the pictures that I took for Father's Day.  The sketch from the LO is my latest in the Anytime, Anywhere Scrapbooking Experience Challenge hosted by Tiare over at iclassygirl.  Over at Scraps of Color we are also scrappin' or stash and this month we are using metal; so I added a metal heart to this LO.

Hello July

I am happy to report that I met my deadline and have finished our daughter's 5th grade album!  We have been at a family reunion so I had to bring the remaining pictures and some scrappin' stuff with me.  I packed in a hurry so of course I didn't have what I wanted to use once I got started but I managed to finish after a trip to the store, I spent less than $10.  I finished three layouts this weekend, today I'm sharing the layout that uses miscellaneous pictures taken thoughout the school year.  I normally try to use pictures that haven't been used in previous LOs.  This simple 2- page layout uses glittered background paper (99 cents from Target), cardstock from the DCWV rick rack paperstack, colorbok letters for the title and embellishments from my stash.
