Kiss Me

Today I am sharing a simple Valentine's day card made using paper scraps, ribbon, dry embossing, a mini heart punch and a brad from my stash.  The heart paper is very old, I have probably had it since I started scrapbooking.

I am sharing this card for  challenge #277 over at Clean and Simple Stamping and #134 from Hiding in my Craft Room.

Wishing you and yours a great week,  I will spend the next few days getting ready for a crop on Saturday.

Math After Hours

Today's LO is one that I just couldn't seem to get it right, but I spent way too much time on it so its going in the book as is.  I'm not sure if its the paper, pictures, or the sketch inspiration.  The pictures were taken during an after hours Math event at my daughter's school. I used misc. paper and stickers from my stash, I am not not sure if you can see that the LO base does have a pattern on it.  I decided to use one of the pictures as the title.

This is my second LO for this year's "From Desk to Done in Five Minutes" series hosted by Tiare from iClassygirl.    I am also sharing this LO for this week's anything goes blog challenge over at Scraps of Color.

Happy Birthday Alexia

Today is my sister's birthday and of course I didn't get her card in the mail on time, so I decided to share her card and I'll email the link so she can see it.  Happy Birthday sister, we're wishing you the best today and everyday, we love you!

Whatever Wednesday

Today I am sharing a card that I put together for the sketch challenge for  Mojo Monday 329.  I used more paper scraps along with an edge punch and a little embossing. The stamp is one from the Two You set from Stampendours!  I'm thinking I may add some bling or stickles on the dots on the #2!

Its Wednesday morning and I'm not rushing to get dressed so I can get in to work.  We had some snow here yesterday so schools are closed again today and I am planning to wait  a little bit before I go in to work once we settle on the arrangements for our daughter.   I may just take a snow day!  I need to get dressed so I can go out and snap some pictures before it gets messed up!

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Wednesday, stay warm and be safe in your travels.

Make a Wish

I am taking this using my scraps to a whole another level and I'm not liking it!  I have way too many paper scraps to the point where I'm about to toss them, I've got to get going with this PURGE.  So today's card is one made using paper scraps, a cricut die cut and the sentiment is a sticker.  I cut the hat and wan using the Create-a-Critter cartridge. I have mixed feelings about how it came out but its going postal within the next few days!

Today's birthday card is being shared over at Hiding in my Craft Room for their clean and simple challenge #133 and week #2 blog challenge over at Scraps of Color.

Happy MLK Day

Hello and Happy MLK Day!  Today I'm sharing a quick tag that I put together in honor of MLK day, this is actually the second crafting project where I used this quote since it is one of my favorites.  In case you can't see it on the tag the quote says "Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education." Over at Scraps of Color, week #3 blog challenge was to create a project in honor of MLK or one that honors/showcases your own legacy or heritage.  I decided to create this tag using the quote with school themed embellishments from my stash.  Wishing you and yours a wonderful week as you dream your own big dreams!

Family Divas

Wow, this is my second LO for 2014!  This LO was created from inspiration using the "From Desk to Done in 5 Minutes" series hosted by Tiare from iClassygirl.  I don't quite have each day down to exactly five minutes but I was able to finish it quicker than normal using the concept.  All items used have been in my stash for awhile with the exception of the little wooden camera, picked that up when I was shopping for my holiday secret pal over at Scraps of Color.

Hello Wednesday

Hello and welcome to the first "Whatever Wednesday" for 2014.  Today I'm sharing a card that I made using a cut file that I purchased from The Cutting Cafe.  I  cut the file with my silhouette using some black cardstock, added a layer of  pattern paper,  added a little bling and two little glasses that I cut with my slice and the card was done!  I didn't send out any Christmas cards so my intention was to make New Year's cards but I'm not sure if that's going to happen either!  Since this one card is done it will be going postal soon and this may be the only one that I send!

The weekly blog challenges over at Scraps of Color is in full force again this year so I'll be sharing this card for the first challenge of the new year.  I'm already behind, I think we may be on week three already.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Wednesday!

Adore

I am back today to share a card that I made using inspiraiton from this weeks's sketch #275 over at Clean and Simple Stamping.  This card came together rather quickly using misc. items from my stash,  the adore bingo card I picked up during a crop, the hearts are Martha Stewart and K&Co. and the button from American Crafts.  I inked the edges of the card base and used my WeR envelope punch board to make the envelope.  Its one of those projects that I think look better in person.

Tis the Season for Giving

As I wind down from the celebration of my birthday I am doing the happy dance because I finally finished my first LO for 2014.  This LO uses pictures of me and some of my sistah friends putting together gift bags for a service project last month; I shared about this project in earlier posts.  The sketch inspiration for this LO comes from  this month's pajama party hosted by Tiare over at iClassygirl.  I used my silhouette to cut the title, my cricut to cut the shopping bag, Christmas stickers that have been in my stash for some years and a wreath sicker that I recieved from my secret sistah over at SOC.  Wishing you and yours a great week.

Happy New Year

This is my first post for this year and I'm hoping to at least post once a week as I try to become more organized.  My one word for the year is PURGE, got way too much stuff that I need to let go; physical and emotional baggage.

Today's card is one that I put together this morning for someone that recently shared with me that her MIL has cancer and is currently in hospice care.  Of course all items used came from my scrap stash, used one of my favorite stamps and even ran one of the layers through the cuttlebug.  Its funny how when you plan a card out in your mind the finished project is so different.
