Happy Easter

Monday comes around way too quick, I really wanted to share a LO but did not have a chance to finish one that I started last week.  So today I am sharing the last card that I made during Friday's online chat over at Scraps of Color. The cross is a file from the Silhouette store, napped from the Momenta pad that I used previously and Recollections bling.  Tomorrow is the last day of National Ctraft Month which means this self imposed challenge of sharing on my blog comes to an end!

Mother's Day

Happy Sunday, the weekend is winding down and time to prepare for the work week.  Yesterday  was jam packed with events and activities so we are trying to get some downtime in.

Palm Sunday today, Easter next Sunday but today I am sharing a Mother's Day card that I made during Friday's online chat session.  I used was mostly paper scraps from  a Momenta 6x6 paper pad along with some Recollections flowers and gems.  I also embossed the first layer using my cuttlebug. I am sharing this card for challenge #193 - Any Holiday over at Hiding in My Craft Room.

Take care and have a great week.

Condolence Card

Hello Saturday, so much going on trying to keep up with this flurry of activities.  Feeling thankful and blessed inspite of some circumstances.

Today I am sharing a card that I put together last night during our online chat session over at Scraps of Color.   One of my co-workers suffered a devastating loss on Thursday so I will be giving her this card.  The paper used came from the 6x6 Autumn Flowers paper pad from Ki Memories.  The stamp used is from Stampabilities and a few Queen & Co. Jellies completed the card.

Take care, thanks for your visit and I hope you'll come back again soon.

Simple Thanks

It's Friday and I have done a fairly good job of sharing this week!  I have lots to do this weekend but I am hopeful that I'll get projects done to share for the next few days.  We had a really nice day here temperature wise but it is raining today and I'm feeling kinda lazy but duty calls so I'm pressing onward.

Today's project is one that I put together while brainstorming for an online chat that I'm hosting later this evening.  I used Momenta papers  that I picked up on clearance sometime ago along with a stamp from Stampendous, added some twine and a few gems and the card was done.  I think I'll send it to one of my dear friends as she is always a blessing to others.

Thank you for visiting, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend; be safe and enjoy!

Happy Birthday

Just a few more days and National Craft Month will end and I will go back to sharing on my blog once or twice a week!  I am glad I took on this challenge and  I hope that I will be all in the next time.

Today's card is one that put together using more paper from the paper pad that I used on Monday.  The butterfly is from Recollectioons and the button came from a bag of buttons that came from Hobby Lobby.  Sketch inspiration for this card came from Mojo Monday sketch #390.

Take care.

Whatever Wednesday

It's Wednesday and I decided to take a mental health day, work has been extremely busy and chaotic and my manager is about to go on vacation so I took today to just try to rest a little.  There is so much that needs to be done but I don't plan to do much of anything.  My daughter has a banquet tonight so that ties up our evening.

Today I am sharing another page from my artful scripture journal, I had a hard time getting a good picture; the verse is from Isaiah 26:3.  I used a pattern vellum background and stickers so it is hard to see.

Have a great day.

Hello

So what have you been up to, anything exciting?  My team lost in the first round of the March Madness so I haven't been watching but I did watch Dancing With the Stars since my favorite artist is one of the contestants this season.  I am not a real fan of television so I usually just watch the news or news programs.

Today's card is one that I lifted from a Thickers package. Last Friday while waiting for the Target pharmacist to fill a prescription I did some shopping on the Scrapbooking clearance end cap.  I hate it when they have items priced so low that I can't leave without buying something.  One of the items that I picked up was the foam Thickers used on the card which had a similar picture on the packaging.  The yellow and white layer was actually cut from some 12x12 washi paper that I picked up on clearance from Target a few years ago!

Take care.

Happy Monday

It's Monday, the first Monday in a new season; we had great temps all weekend but we are in for more cold weather and even the possibility of some snow flurries on Saturday.  I sure hope not because my daughter will be running in the 10K again on Saturday and I sure  don't want to stand at the finish line in the elements.  It was raining buckets last year!

Today's project is a simple thank you  card that I put together from one of the Operation Write Home sketches. I used paper from the Mind's Eye Indie Chic 6x6 paper pad along with a sticker and a few
gems.  Looking at the picture it seems that the other side of the paper is more dominate in some areas which is why I don't care for double sided paper sometime.

Take care and have a great week.

Hello Saturday

Today I am sharing another page from my artful scripture journal, this page is for week ten.  I still need to do week 11 and 12 will be posted today.  The scripture for week 10  came from Jeremiah 29:11, I am not sure you see it in the picture.  The pattern paper has been in my stash for a long time, I bought it from Costco and I think it had like 400 sheets in the package, of course I have not put a dent in the pack.  The road is a cut from the Silhouette online store, punched the butterflies with a MS punch and the little ladybug is from EK Success.

Take care, enjoy your weekend and Come back soon.

Cheerleaders Dancing

It's Thursday and I am losing the necessary steam to post on my blog everyday, it was good gesture but life just hasn't afforded me the time or energy to keep up.  Today I am sharing a LO that I just completed, just need to add some journaling.  The LO uses pictures from a holiday program at the recreation center where my daughter is a cheerleader.  I used papers from a Recollections Christmas stack, title from the Silhouette online store, hat from the Joys of the Season cricut cartridge and some Recollections stickers.  The sketch inspiration for the LO came from Tiare's Desk to Done #52.

Season for Giving

I struggled with whether I was going to share this LO or not because I had mixed feelings about it. This  is another LO for my daughter's Girl Scout album,  The LO uses pictures of decorated boxes that the scouts filled with items for kids that were hospitalized during the holiday season.  My daughter filled her box with items for a little boy so I embellished the LO with items that she included in her box.  The tag was cut with my SLICE and the sentiment was cut with the Cameo and the veneer embellishment are from AC.  This makes the 13th LO of the year!

Take care and enjoy

St Patrick's Day

Oh well the day is almost over and since I didn't post yesterday I was determined to share something today.  I put this card together this evening after picking up and sorting Girl Scout cookies for delivery!  I just used misc. scraps of paper from my stash, the pattern paper is from DCWV.  I cut the clovers/shamrocks from the Designer Calendar cricut cartridge and the stamped sentiment is from Hero Arts.

I'm sharing this card for the following challenges:
Clean & Simple Stamping - FTL3 - Take 2
Hiding in my Craft Room  - #191 Super Scraps

Take care and have a great day.

Just Because

It's Sunday and I have to go into work to do some training and yesterday I didn't get a lot done!  I did manage to put today's quick card together once I finished going through more of my scraps, I was actually working on another project when I decided to put this card together.   In addition to the scraps of paper, I used a border punch, some scrapper's floss, some gems and a Hero Arts stamp.  The sketch inspiration for this card came from last week's post over at Clean & Simple Stamping.  I will be sending this as an encouragement card to a young person just starting their military career.

Take care, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Hello Saturday

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday so I am sharing yesterday's post today.  I completed the LO earlier in the week but didn't do the journaling which I still need to add and when I tried to take the picture the lighting was not good.  I am happy because this makes my 12th LO for the year and puts a dent in my LOs for my daughter's Girl Scout Album, still using my stash.  The LO uses pictures from a 2011 sleep over where Lustres was a sponsor, the girls enjoyed lots of activities and received sample products.

Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Thinking of You

I almost didn't post today, I am not sure I can keep this up with this and everything else. Today's card is being sent to one of my former co-workers who recently suffered the loss of her grandfather.  I had put these pieces of paper together some time ago, I am not sure which 6x6 paper pad I had taken them from originally.  I cut the Bible with my SLICE and the cross has been in my stash forever. Another completed project posted!

See you next time!

Wednesday Wanderings

It's Wednesday so what have you on your calendar today?  Well outside of work, my daughter has Girl Scouts tonight as they prepare for Girl Sunday at church and a cookie booth sale, more pictures to scrap!  I am thinking I need a day off but we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Joint Commission, anybody that has ever worked at a hospital knows about them.

Today I am sharing a card that I am sending to a family that recently suffered a loss, as I don't know them personally but the host for the artful scripture journal FB group asked if we would shower them with some encouragement.  So my card is going postal today.

The card came together quickly as I used paper from the DCWV Juniper Berry 6x6 paper pad, some Recollections flowers, ribbon and MS pearls.  I am sharing this card for the HIMCR#190 Freestyle challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room and the  #176 Monochromatic  challenger over at Use Your Stuff.

Girl Scout Sisterhood

I'm back today to share another LO for my duaghter's Girl Scout album and it is my eleventh LO for the year.  Earlier this year their troop attended a lock-in, where they spent the night in a shopping mall along with hundreds of other Girl Scouts.  I used papers from K&Co, the red glittered camera die was given to me at a crop a few years ago.  Thickers and bubble alphas were used  for the title. The pattern paper was so busy so I didn't want to over embellish the LO,  the girl scout is a file from the Silhouette store,  the banner was cut with my SLICE and to finish I just added a few gems.

Take care and have a great day.

Hello Monday

Wow this trying to post everyday isn't easy and my projects are always simple but they take forever to come together!  Today's project is a card that I'm sending to one of co-worker's daughter, she is basic training for the marines so I thought a card would send her a card to encourage her.  I just used more scraps of paper from my stash, a MS butterfly punch and I cut the sentiment with the Artiste cricut cartridge.

Take care, come back soon.

Sunday Musings

Today is my MIL's birthday and I am at home alone while the family celebrates, sometimes you just need to be alone.  I did go to church this morning but I am really not feeling well, I have a really bad sinus headache.  It's nice outside but I have too much to do inside!

Today's project is a birthday created using a piece of pattern paper from American Crafts, card stock form DCWV, a Spellbinder die cut, flowers cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cartridge and gems for centers of the flowers.

I failed at my no craft spending for LENT, I was doing fine until I got an email about the 50 percent off sale at the Silhouette online store and then I went to Michaels to do a return and I just had to check the clearance aisle.  Now I have to start all over, shame on me!

It's The Season

I am back today to share another completed LO, I am really pleased how it looks!  The only thing left  is to add the journaling.  The LO includes  pictures from a December meeting for our organization.  We met at a restaurant and enjoyed food, fun and fellowship.  Once we completed the business part of the meeting we ate and played a gift exchange game.

The pattern paper was leftover from another project, I used some MS gold pattern paper to mat the pictures.  The little gift embellishments are some stickers from my stash, the tree and title were files from the silhouette store and I decorated the tree with stickles and added a gold pearl to the center of the star.  So pleased to have my tenth LO of the year done.

Take care and enjoy your weekend!

Hello Friday

Today's blog post is another page from my artful scripture journal, I am all caught up as this is this week's scripture.  I just used two pieces of scrap paper from my stash and a few embellishments, some TH distress ink and my computer and it was done.  I am so enjoying this project as it is not only allowing me the opportunity to enrich my scripture knowledge it has afforded me the opportunity to cross paths with more people.

The kids are out of school again today, the trip in was icy in some spots but for the most part my trip in to work was fine.  Take care, be safe and have a wonderful weekend.

Love and Luck

It's Thursday and the kids had another inclement weather day due to more snow in the forecast.  They are calling for 2-4 inches of snow so they may be out again tomorrow.  We are so ready for Spring!

Today's card is one that came together rather quickly as I used a piece of textured paper that has been in my stash forever, cut the clover with my SLICE and used a sentiment stamp from the dollar aisle, added some twine, a button and a few sequins and the card was done.

I am sharing this card for the following challenges:
Use Your Stuff  #175 -  Twine
Hiding in my Craft Room  #189 - Any Holiday

As always thank you for your visit, be safe and come back soon!

Wednesday Wanderings

I am back today with another edition of  Whatever Wednesday.  Really nice temperature outside today but a prediction for more winter weather tomorrow.   We missed having free pancakes yesterday for National Pancake day so after my daughter's orthodontist appointment we are having pancakes for dinner.   Never mind that today is National Pound Cake Day!

Today's project is a simple birthday card that I put together using scraps from my stash, a few embellishments that includes a cricut cut sentiment and some scrapers floss!  Are you doing anything special for National Craft Month?

Take care and I hope you'll stop by again soon.

Meeting Moments

Hello Tuesday, back today to share another completed LO which makes nine and counting for the year!  It's National Craft Month and I am going to try to post on my blog everyday which is going to be a tall order. I sure hope this enables me to move some of my paper scraps and supply stash so I can become more organized!  The paper is from a Recollections paper stack, can't remember the name but I know that it's old and I bought it a deep discount, a strip of Dollar Tree washi tape and misc. stickers.  I used my Expression and my SLICE for the title; I think the LO looks better in person!

Until tomorrow, stay warm and be happy!

Happy March

Hello, Happy March and Happy Monday!  We are anxiously awaiting Spring as Winter has taken its toll.  Today I am sharing a birthday card that I am sending to a very special 85 year young woman!  It is going postal today, sure hope it reaches its destination in time.  The sketch inspiration for this card came from the FTL1 challenge over at Clean and Simple Stamping where they debuted The Take 2 edition!  Everything  used on the card  came from my stash which includes pattern paper from Provocraft,  ribbon from Paper Studio and flowered buttons from Recollections.

Take care and have a great week.  March is National Craft Month and since I gave up craft spending for Lent I am constantly deleting emails that arrive in my inbox!  I really need to use my stash and downsize in lots of areas.
