Happy Birthday

Hello Monday, today is my DH's birthday and of course I have been so busy making cards for everyone else I failed to finish mine for him.  We celebrated yesterday with family and friends at dinner; nothing fancy just our Sunday family gatherings with cake and ice cream.  If he is able to get off work early we'll go to see the movie War Room this evening.  I am sharing the card that I made for baby girl, can't get her to sit still long enough to do anything craft related.  It's as simple as simple gets, I used some pattern paper from the DCWV Neutrals and Jewels basic 6x6 paper pad, stickers, stamped the mustache and added a few pebbles!

Take care and have a Marvelous Monday!

Feel Better Soon

I am back today to share another card that I put together for the FB card group.  A fellow crafter was in a seriou accident so we are showering her with cards and well wishes.  The sketch inspiration for the card came from challenge #412 over at Mojo Monday and I am also sharing this card for challenge #214 - Freestyle over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  The papers used came from the Heidi Swapp Favorite Things 6x6 paper pad, the sentiment was cut using the Lyrical Letters cricut cartridge, a MS butterfly punch and some Recollections gems.

Take care and have a wonderful week.

Sweet Sunday Sketch

Hello and happy Friday,  yesterday was the second anniversary of my sister's death and I was too emotional to finish the memorial LO that I had planned to share.  Today I am sharing an anniversary card that I made for the FB card group and it's going postal later today.  The sketch inspiration for this card came from  sketch #283 from the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge blog.  I used more papers from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge pad along with some bling and the card was done.

Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Wednesday Wanderings

I wasn't going to post today but since I finished this LO last night I decided to share it, I didn't want to bore you all with another card since I have some LOs that I need to finish.  I have way to many  LOs that I have started that are waiting to be finished!  Today I am sharing another photo sleeve protector LO of my daughter and one of her friends last summer during an evening of golf, go carting and games at Putt -Putt Fun Center.  They have been friends for ten years and they will be going to the same high school.  I am sharing this LO for the Celebrate Friendship challenge over at Bitten by the Bug2.  I cut the word friends using the Hello Kitty Font cartridge which I added some dimensions before putting it on the pattern paper.  The other embellishments came from a Pink Paislee package that I picked up from Tuesday Morning.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Wednesday!

Card Angel

Hello and Happy Tuesday, as you can see I have been sharing far more cards than LOs .  The reason being is that I am a member of a FB group where we have been busy just trying to use our stuff and bless others with greeting cards as requested.  Today I am sharing one of the sympathy cards that went postal last Saturday.  I really like how this card came out, I can't remember which sketch I used for inspiration but I did use more paper from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge 6x6 paper pad.  The sentiment is from a CTMH sympathy stamp set, the flowers are from the Paper Studio and the pearls from Recollections.

Take care and have a great week.

SundayMusings

Hello and Happy Sunday!  I am back today to share a really simple LO that I put together last week using a picture we took at a scholarship dinner luncheon in 2013.  I started out with a DCWV ready made scrapbook page that I purchased on clearance at JoAnns.  I was suppose to just add pictures and journaling, but that didn't work for me so I just took it all apart and used only the base sheet which is canvas.  I just added my picture, a title that I cut with my silhouette cameo, half a doily and some wood veneer embellishments!  I am just half way with my monthly LO challenge, not sure if I will make my goal this month.

Wishing you and yours a good week.

Happy Friday

Wow, I have been sharing all week on my blog!  I am back today to share a birthday card that I put together using inspiration from sketch #20 over at Your Next Stamp.  I used a mason jar stamp that I picked up in ACMoore a few weeks ago.  The paper came from one of Heidi Swapp's 6x6 paper pads, I think it was called Marquee Love.  A stamped sentiment, some twine,  and a few other embellishments this birthday card was done. I am sharing this card for the birthday challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room as they are winding down their anniversary celebration.  You still have until tomorrow to add your project to one of their challenges for the chance to win some goodies!

As always thank you for your visit, have an wonderful weekend.  I hope you will stop by again soon.

Throwback Thursday

I am back today sharing a card that I put together using inspiration from a sketch that was posted over at CAS(E) this sketch  last Thursday, hence the reason for the title.  While reading my emails early this morning I saw a post on another blog where they used this sketch so I ran downstairs and put this card together before I came into work.  I love clean and simple and this worked just fine for me!  I have been on a roll making cards lately but it seems like I have to send them out as soon as I make them.  I used more paper from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge 6x6 paper pad (I have been using it a lot lately), a stamped sentiment and a few K& CO heart embellishments and the card was done!

Take care and  enjoy the last days of summer!

Christmas 1988

Yes, the title is correct!  I am back today to share another LO, it is one using pictures of my adult son's childhood.  I wasn't a scrapbooker when he was growing up so I am just starting to create an album for and of him!  So you'll see more pages documenting his childhood along with LOs of baby girl! This is one of the reasons I will never catch up!

Over at Hiding in my Craft Room they are celebrating their  Blogiversary in honor of their 6th birthday.   I am sharing this LO for their Let's Scrapbook challenge.  If you are looking for some inspiration and fun challenges you have until Saturday, August 22 to link your projects.  The pattern paper came from a Christmas stack that I picked up from Michaels so it may be Recollections, all of the embellishments were cut with the SLICE.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Wednesday!

Thanks a Bunch

I wasn't going to post today but then I decided why not!  I am back today to share a card that I made and sent to one of my scrappy friends.  She was nice enough to pick up an item that was on clearance in her area and send it to me.  I am sharing this card for this week's Hiding in my Craft Room Use Die Cuts challenge.  I have a new fascination for mason jars, so you might get tired of seeing them on projects. I used the WeR  Memory Keepers mason jar die, a sentiment stamp from CTMH, punched the butterflies with a MS punch, added a twine bow and this card was done!  I am almost done using that paper pad too.

Wishing you and yours a terrific Tuesday.

Monday Musings

Hello and happy Monday, I have been a busy little scrapper but still not able to catch up or do all that needs to be done!  The weekends go by way too fast and I don't know where the time goes.  Today I am sharing a LO that I've been trying to do for the last two years, I just finished it over the weekend. It uses pictures taken the day our daughter got her braces and now that they are off I need to scrap those pictures!   The LO base came from one of the Craft Smith paper pads that I picked up recently when Michaels had the hot buy pads for $5 and the other paper is from that Momenta paper pack that I picked up from Tuesday Morning and I have been using it alot lately.  The braces stickers are from Jolees, the smiley faces have been in my stash forever, I cut the title with my SLICE and a few Queen & Co jellies and the LO was finally done.

Take care and have a great week.

Happy 16th

Hello and happy Saturday, the days are really flying by it is mid-August.  I am not sure I can keep up with what I am about to have on my plate.  Today I am sharing another card that I made to send to a young man celebrating his birthday this month.  The sketch inspiration came from the  Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #281.  I am also sharing this card for the birthday cake challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2.  I used more scraps of paper, cut the cake using the Stretch Your Imagination cricut cartridge and the #16 candle from the Something to Celebrate cartridge.  The stamped sentiment is from the MyType stamp set from Pink Bow Ties.

Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Thursday Musings

It's Thursday, I am off tomorrow so I am doing a happy dance!  I don't know why because whenever I'm off I have lots to do, take my car to be serviced, parent orientation for high school, and school shopping.  I joined another group on FB where we send cards to people so that is one of the reasons I've been sharing more cards.  Even though I'd rather scrap LOs making cards allows me to use more of my stash and especially paper scraps.

Today I am sharing a sympathy card that I put together last night using this week's Mojo Monday sketch #410.  I just used paper scraps from my stash,  a sentiment stamp and a few enamel dots and the card was done.  I like the simplicity of the card and it makes for easy mailing!

Take care and have a terrific Thursday.

Happy Mail

Lizard and sentiment cut with SLICE
Hello and Happy Tuesday, today I am sharing two cards that I made over the weekend, I am hoping this small token of happy mail will bring a smile to a little boy.  While I was getting dressed for the crop on Saturday this story Cards for Caden came on our local news so I decided to send him some cards. I probably should send a card to his mother too as I know that she too could probably use some encouragement.

Rocket cut with Artiste cricut cartridge
This week's challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room is super Scraps Saturday so I am sharing this post.  For both cards I used paper from my piles of scraps, embossing folders, and die cuts.  A stamped sentiment and some enamel dots, wood veneer stars and the both cards were done!

Take care and have a great day.

Sunday Musings

Hello, it's Sunday and I am actually posting on Sunday which most times I will schedule my Sunday post.  I meant to share this card yesterday but I was so excited that I forgot or rather never took the time to do it.  I went to an all day crop, didn't get home until a little past midnight this morning so I am tired.  I will share a completed project later this week.   I met some awesome crafters from a Stampin Up group.  I made this simple card and sent it postal for someone that is hospitalized with cancer and not doing well.  I just used a few scraps of paper from my stash, a stamp that I colored with my Spectrum Noir markers, my spell binders dies and some candy shoppe jellies from Queen & Co  it was done!

Wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Sweet Sunday Sketch

Hello Thursday, time is winding down and I am no where near ready for Saturday's crop.  I'm starting to feel like maybe I shouldn't have signed up to go. I just don't have the energy to do what it takes to really be productive.  Oh well let's hope something happens within that gives me the motivation that I need.  I put this card together using sketch inspiration from Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #280.  I think all of the paper used came from one of Hampton Art's 6x6 paper pads, I also used my Spellbinders rectangle dies, a few Queen & Co candy shoppe dots, a stamp that has been in my stash for a while and the card was done!

Take care and have a wonderful day.

Birthday Sleepover

Hello and Happy Wednesday, I'm back today to share the LO that I finally finished using pictures from our DD's sleepover for her birthday this year!  I scrapped some of the other pictures in pocket sleeves.  We had the party at my in-laws since they have more square footage than we have at our house.  The girls had lots of fun, especially since they had never been in a house with an elevator. My daughter really like that I used one of her 4 year old pictures for the cake and I got lots of cool points for the thank you goody bags too.  I used some Martha Stewart cardstock for the base and pattern paper from an ATD paper pad.  Thickers for the title, stickers from Recollections, The Paper Studio and Soft Spoken.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Wednesday!

Monday Musings

Where does the weekend go?  I can't seem to do all that I have in my mind to get done over the weekend before its time to come back to work.  I had originally planned to get myself organized and ready for this week's crop but that didn't happen which means I'll try to devote some time each day this week in hopes that I won't be stressing on Friday night!  I have decided I probably won't work on any projects this week just organize and make kits so I can make the best of my day!  I already have projects lined up for my blog this week.

Today I am sharing one of the cards that I put together for someone that suffered a loss last week, I used paper from a Momenta paper pad, some ribbon, a few gems and a stamped sentiment from Pink Bow Ties and the card was done!

Take care and have a Marvelous Monday!

Birthday Love

Hello Sunday and Happy Birthday to my sista friend Felisa!  You can check her craftiness out over  at  The Scrapin Diva, she is kind and has a wonderful spirit and I am so glad that we had the opportunity to meet on a scrapbooking cruise.  So today I am sharing the card that I put together to send her, nothing fancy from me "Queen of Simple" but it's the thought that counts!  The sketch inspiration came from Clean & Simple Stamping.  I used leftover paper from another project along with a cupcake stamp that I colored with my Spectrum Noir markers, Spellbinder dies and a sentiment stamp.

Take care and have a wonderful week.
