Thinking of You

Hello Saturday, I am back today sharing a card that was inspired by the weekend challenge over on Stampin' Girls Gone Wild, I shared this card for a challenge over at Embrace Your Art.  I used pattern paper from a very old Making Memories 6x6 pad,  I am not sure I will ever use all of it!  For layering I used the leftover brown paper from the card I shared yesterday.  I cut the sentiment using my George Cricut cartidge (something I haven't done in a long time), added a Recollections flower, ribbon/bow,  some gems and the card was done.  It will be going postal to someone that recently suffered a loss .  Thank you for your visit and enjoy your weekend.

Friday Musings

Hello and happy last Friday of 2016!  This week has really gone by extremely fast, I really need to take some time off so I can get some things done or rather make an attempt.  Today I am sharing a New Years card that I put together last night using sketch inspiration from challenge #303 over at Try Stampin' or Not on Tuesday.  I used pattern paper from a Paper House 6x6 pad that I picked up last year from Michaels and the solid paper brown paper is from Core'dinations.  I cut the 2017 using the Dates and Days Cricut cartridge, added some Mister Huey gold color mist (you can't see it in the picture) and used a Hero Arts stamp and this card was done.  I'm also sharing it for challenge #281 -Any Holiday over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  Take care, be safe and enjoy your new years festivities.

Season's Greetings

Hello and happy Tuesday, nice temps here today but the forecast calls for rain later.  I'm back today to share another holiday card,  I opted not to share some of the cards until the recipient received them.  I had mixed feelings about this one because I am still trying to blend the ink smoothly and transition from one color to another, did say that correctly!  This is just another technique that I need to practice more since I really like it.   I used TH distress inks and Recollections flowers that I purchased during last year's Michael's clearance/grab bags!  Thank you for your visit, take care and enjoy the rest of your holiday season.

Merry Christmas

Hello and happy Sunday, greetings and well wishes to you and your family today and everyday.  Today I ma sharing another holiday card that I made this year, I used Recollections printed cardstock and some Studio 8 glitterd card stock which was used to cut the die.  The die is one of the Crafter's Companion dies that I picked up from Tuesday Morning.  This was one of my favorite cards, I hope the recipient enjoyed it.  Take care and enjoy your day.

Coal Ash

Just a few days away from Christmas, I trust that all is well and that you and your family are looking forward to a wonderfully blessed holiday.  Today I am sharing a LO that I put together for our daughter's high school album.  It uses pictures taken last year when the freshmen class did a community presentation on Coal Ash.  I have just a few more LOs and I will be done with her 9th grade year, she is growing up way too fast!  The LO came together quickly as I followed sketch #81 from Sketch N Scrap when I participated in the Rocking Holiday Crop earlier this month that they hosted on facebook.  I used my WeR Memory Keeper Sew Easy Stamper for the stiching,  the My World cricut cartridge and some American Crafts wood veneer arrows.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back again soon.

Happy Birthday Danita

Hello and happy Thursday,  I am back today to share a birthday card for one of my scrappin' besties! I was in the middle of making holiday cards when I realized I hadn't made her card so I just pulled some papers from my stash and created this card for her and in my haste to take the picture so I could get it in the mail it came out a little blurry.  I think the paper is from a from a Momenta 6x6 paper pad, a Recollections flourish and the sentiment and foliage are TH dies.  I always feel intimidated when I have to make her a card because her cards are always so beautiful; oh well such is life!    I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Take care and have a wonderful Thursday.

You're Snow Much Fun

Wow it has been over a week since I shared on my blog and I don't really know why since I did have projects that I could share!  Today I am sharing a card that I put together using a stamp that I received in a holiday gift swap, my daughter was nice enough to do the coloring for me.  The papers came from my scrap stash, the sentiment stamp came from the Cardz TV stamp set Snow Day that I won in a challenge and the snowflakes were gifted to me as well.  I really like how the card came out, I think the embossing of the sentiment really stands out!  I'm sharing this card for the Masculine challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon!

Happy Holidays

Wow, the countdown is on and of course I'm not done with my cards but I have set another deadline this week! It's raining outside here and they are calling for cooler temps and maybe some flurries by the weekend.   I was busy all weekend trying to finish the challenges for the online crop hosted by Sketch N Scrap on FB, all challenges had to be completed by last night.  The good thing is that I did manage to finish several LOs,  I'm sharing one of the LOs  today.  The LO uses pictures taken last Monday at a dinner meeting, we had so much fun eating, sharing and playing the white elephant game.  The challenge was to create a LO using the traditional Christmas colors (red, green & white).  I used papers from a Recollections paper pad from last year, I think it is called Festive, everything used has been in my stash for quite some time!  Take care and thank you for your visit.

Peace

Hello and happy Wednesday, beautiful sunny day here after several days of rain.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together as I was going through some of my stash to try to organize my stuff so I can finish my holiday cards.  I still have lots of stamps and paper that I'd like to use but at some point I will have to cut off the card making so I can get them in the mail!  Today's card was created using sketch inspiration from challenge #299 from Try Stampin' on Tuesday and challenge #142 (color) from Can You Case It?  I am also sharing it for the Christmas word challenge from Bitten by the Bug2, I cut the word peace from the Joys of the Season cricut cartridge.  I also used a Crafter's Companion snowflake embossing folder and a Darice die to cut the snowflakes!  Take care and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Tuesday Musings

Raining and cool temps which makes for a dreary day.  I am back today to share a card that I put together for the Rocking Holiday online crop, an event hosted by Sketch N Scrap on FB.  This was the 5th challenge, not sure if I will get anymore of them done before Sunday's deadline.  The challenge was to use one of their sketches and include a Christmas tree.   I used their card sketch #86, more leftover paper scraps from my stash, a few gemstones, a punch for the scallop circle and a Spellbinder's die for the tree. Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll come back soon.

JOY

Hello and happy Sunday, a little under the weather today but I must press on.  There always seem to be more to do than time,; so much going on and I am certainly not in a holiday mood.   Although I have spent countless hours watching Hallmark movies there are just circumstances that are weighing heavy on my heart right now.   Today I am sharing another card inspired by a video that I watched on You Tube, although I just watched it yesterday it is was shared five years ago!  I used paper from my scrap stash, a Cuttlebug folder, stickles. some Recollections twine and three different  cricut cartridges.  The placement of the bulls are a little off but I do like the look of the card!  Take care and enjoy your week.

Hello and happy Thursday, thankful for another day.  I am back today to share another card that I put together after watching Mary's video from Cardz TV for card #2 of her 2016 12 Days of Christmas Series. I used Mary card sketch #15 for inspiration.  I used Joys of the Season and  CTMH Artiste cricut cartridges, a wood grain embossing folder and distress ink.  I felt like the wreath needed something else so I added some glimmer mist which you can't see in the picture. I am so happy that I am I just might get my holiday cards in the mail early this year!  Take care and I hope you'll come back again soon.

I am sharing this card for the following challenges:

Memory Captured

Hello Wednesday, rain and nice temps in today's forecast.  Today I am back to share a LO that I put together for our daughter's album using this month's sketch#117 from Sketch~N~Scrap for inspiration.  The pattern paper used for the base of the LO came from the DCWV Grade School paper pad, most everything else used has been in my stash for a while with the exception of the camera and gem embellishments.  Our daughter is a Delta Gem, which is a girl's mentoring group for the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, these pictures were taken during a service project earlier this year where they picked up trash on the street adopted by the sorority.  Take care and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Merry & Bright

Hello Tuesday, showers and warm temps in our area today.  Prayers for the Ohio State community and the residents of Gaitlinburg, Tennessee, so sad.  I am back today to share another card that I put together last night using sketch inspiration from sketch #141 over at Can You Case It?  I used paper from a Craft Smith 6x6 paper pad that I picked up in Michaels last year.  The stamp is one of my recent TM clearance purchases and the bling has been in my stash forever.  I like the simplicity of the sketch and the card,  I am now halfway to my total for my 2016 holiday cards.  I am also sharing this for sketch #277 - Any Holiday challenge over at Hiding in My Craft Room.  Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll stop by again soon.

Altered Index Card

Hello Monday, I am back today to share an altered index card that I did for a You Tube challenge.  I don't have a YT channel but I frequent if for inspiration and challenges so I decided to do this one offered by Ethnic Green Living.  The only stipulation was to use the colors green, aqua, pink, and gold, the base of the index card is green in the picture looks more yellow but it is a shade of light green.  Everything used on the card came from my stash as I am back to spending only what I need as I have to get this arsenal of supplies down as I have become a borderline hoarder.  I even donated some crafty stuff over the holidays as I'm sure there will be more donations soon as I attempt to organize and use more stuff.  I am also sharing this project for the Challenge #148 - Anything but a card over at PDE Linky Party.  Take care and have a wonderful week.

Back To School

Hello Saturday, I trust that you had a wonderful holiday and have started to get back into your routines.  My holiday was very low key without a lot of fanfare as I needed the downtime.  I didn't do any Black Friday shopping either, I went to just two stores looking for my daughter's homecoming dress or rather pants this time.  She was not with me so I was done in about an hour!  Today I am sharing one of the LOs that finished with the last few days, it uses pictures taken as we were leaving home on the first day of school in September. on the first day of school. I used pattern paper from the DCWV Homeroom paper stack along with other paper and embellishments from my stash.  So happy to have another LO done.

Season's Greetings

Happy Pre-Thanksgiving!  So what are you doing today, I'm at work and counting down until the end of the day.  My original plan was to come in early so I could leave early but that didn't happen so I may be here until 5.   I am not really cooking anything for tomorrow so working until the end of the work day is fine with me.  I am so thankful for MIL as she enjoys cooking so she is preparing the meal for tomorrow and baby girl will going over to help since she is out of school today.  I wanted to share this super simple card that I put together this morning using sketch #140 from Sunday Stamps.  I used paper scraps from one of the pads that I used last year along with one of the Crafter's Companion sentiment dies  that I picked up in TM, a Recollections snowflake sticker and a few gems.  Take care and I hope you'll come back soon.

Thanksgiving Blessings

Hello and happy Friday,  it's the weekend and of course the calendar is packed with things for the teenager to do!  I am happy to report that I spent last night hanging out with my scrapping buddy Felisa and I was able to get most of my Thanksgiving cards done or rather almost done.  I just need to finish the inside messages and address the envelopes and they should go postal tomorrow!  Today I am sharing one of the cards that I put together last night using sketch inspiration from sketch #474 over at Mojo Monday.   Almost everything used for this card has been in my stash for some years with the exception of the ribbon that I picked up in DT a few weeks ago and the stitched die that I received last month from China.  I am also sharing this card for the Super Scraps Saturday challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Give Thanks

Hello Thursday, tomorrow is Friday and my Thanksgiving cards aren't ready for the mail so I've got to really work tonight!  Today I sharing a super simple card that I put together using sketch inspiration from sketch #22 over at Paper Play Sketches.  I just used leftover papers from cards that I made earlier, a sticker from a First Thanksgiving sticker pack that I picked up in TM recently  and a Fiskars stamp that has been in my stash for a long time.  It seems a little off balance so I may need to straighten the turkey before the card goes postal.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you will come back again soon.

Wednesday Wanderings

Hello and happy Wednesday, more season temperatures today in our area.  How's the weather where you live?  I had to change the project that I was sharing today because when I went back to look at the picture it was too blurry as I did photograph it on the run and it has already gone to the recipient! The card that I am sharing today is one that I put together at the request of one of my co-workers for another co-worker.  I stepped out of my comfort zone and used some silver Mister Huey's color mist on the base of the card, added a Spellbinder's die cut (one of my recent TM purchases), stamped a sentiment and added a Recollections flower from my stash and this card was done.  Tell me what you think or should I stay within my comfort zone?  Take care and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Thankful

Hello Monday,  today I am sharing a card created using a TH Sizzix embossing folder.  I have a really hard time adding embellishments when the background is completely filled with words. The inspiration for this card came from a project shared by tellHimthanku (Tina) on you tube.  In addition to the embossing folder I used three different distress inks along with some Recollections bling and flowers that I picked up on clearance from Michael's last week.  I have mixed feelings about how it came out so I may do something different when I use the Christmas embossing folder.  Thank you for your visit, i hope you will come back by again soon.

Grateful 4 Family

Hello and happy Sunday I am back today to share another project from my Friday night online crafting get together.  The last challenge for the night was to create a grateful project and  I chose family.  I created this 8x8 LO using a picture from my mom's family reunion this past summer, I am going to put the LO in her birthday celebration  album.  Everything used on the LO came from the Echo Park Story of Our Family by Lori Whitlock kit that I picked up last month at the Creating Keepsake Convention.  Take care and enjoy your day.

Saturday Musings

Good morning, it's cold outside and I didn't want to get up.  Now to get motivated to do what I need to get done today.  I don't drink coffee so I am having a cup of hot chocolate as I plot today's course.  I spent last night hanging out with a small group of crafting buddies online creating and sharing.  Today I am sharing one of the cards that I created and shared as our theme for the evening was thankfulness.  I used sketch inspiration from sketch #8 from Mary over at  Cardz TV so I am also sharing this card for their Anything Goes Designer Challenge #4.  I was lucky enough to win challenge #3 so if you are looking for some great inspiration head on over to Cardz TV.  I used papers from several different 6x6 pads, a dot embossing folder, some sequins and a Stampendous stamp.  Take care and enjoy your day.

I am sharing this card for the following challenges:

Tuesday Musings

Hello and happy voting day, it took me a little less than an hour from start to finish!  I'm back today to share a birthday card that I made for one of my daughter's friends who turned 16 last week.  She is really into sneakers (her uncle works for Nike)  and her favorite color is green.  The sneaker pattern paper is another sheet from the DCWV Teenage Dream Stack,  this stack is turning out to be one of my go to stacks!  Twine and a stamp that has been in my stack for a while completed this card.  Take care and have a terrific Tuesday.

Thanks

Hello and happy Monday, my body clock is still on daylight savings time.  I am awake and up when I should be still asleep, I had restless sleep last night anyway!  So today I am showing a thank you card that  I put together for my daughter to give to my coworkers that supported her school fundraising.   The sketch inspiration came from skerch #197 over at  CAS(E) this sketch!  I used leftover paper from my rolodex project and pattern paper from the Nicole Autumn Splendor 6x6 paper pad and an owl sticker gifted to me from my scrappin' buddy Felisa.   I am also sharing this card for  the fall colors challenge #274 over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you will return soon!

Create Joy

Hello and happy Saturday, I am back today for a quick driveby post.  Another nice Fall day as we do have plans to attend a football game and tailgate with family and friends.  My project today is an altered rolodex card created for a challenge hosted on one of the YouTude channels.  The papers that I used came from the DCWV Indian Summer Fall Stack and the blinged dragonfly is from Making Memories and has been in my stash for quite sometime.  The sentiment came from the Beyond Birthdays cricut cartridge.   Another clean and simple project completed and about to go postal!

Take care, enjoy your weekend!  Don't  forget to "fall back" (change your clocks) if applicable where you live, we get an extra hour of sleep!

Hello and happy Thursday, another nice day here in our area.  So are you ready for the weekend, anything exciting planned?  I'm back today to share another card that I created for the FB card angel group and it has already gone postal!  The pattern paper came from some leftover scraps of paper that I used to cover a composition book for my daughter for one of her mentoring groups; it came from the DCWV Teenage Dream Stack.  The solid cardstock is some Bazzill that I picked up in TM, I also used some Recollections ribbon and enamel dots from my stash.  The stamp is one from the set that was created exclusively for the FB card angel group.  I am sharing this card for this week's Freestyle challenge #273 over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll come back soon.

Picture Day

Hello and happy hump day,  almost Friday let the weekend begin.   Warmer temps for the next few days!  Not sure what happened with the date on yesterday's post so I decided to post today to try to get back on track,  So what's on tap for your weekend?  I have just one thing planned on Saturday but as usual the teenage daughter always has something to do.  My sister is coming up so I'll go to a football game with her or rather it may be more like we'll tailgate and hangout.  Today I am sharing another LO for our daughter's high school album using her school pictures from last year.  I used various papers and embellishments from my stash including a cut from the Teen Scene cricut cartridge.

Take care and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Thinking of You

Hello and happy Tuesday, more seasonal temperatures this week.  How's the weather in your area?  I am back today to share another card for the FB card angel group, since the recipient likes pink  I went to my stash and pulled the stuff that I used to make this card rather quickly.  The sketch inspiration came from challenge #99 over at  Fab Friday, which was shared with me by my crafting buddy Felisa over at The ScrapinDiva as we hung out over the weekend completing some projects.

Take care and thank you for your visit.

A Happy Hello

Hello and happy Sunday, we are expecting temps in the lower 80s today.  We went to church with our neighbors and then out for breakfast and we didn't get home until after 2 which means I am trying to play catch up.  Today I'm sharing a card that I made for the FB card angel group, it has been a while since I shared a card for the angel group.  Sketch inspiration for the card came from Mary's sketch #4 from  Cardz TV  and I am sharing this card for their  Anything Goes Designer Challenge #3.  I used paper from an American Crafts DIYShop paper pad, a stamp and a Jillibean wooden butterfly.    Wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Fight Like A Girl

Hello Saturday, I meant to share yesterday but as life would have it I never got it.  I did spend some time hanging out with one of my scrapping besties working on some crafty projects last night!  My one problem is that I didn't get to complete as many projects as I wanted.  Today I am sharing one of my projects that I finished, a tag that I originally started last week while I worked on my breast cancer awareness card.  I used leftover scraps of paper from the card, a stamp from Amuse Studio,  a small stitched oval die and a few Recollection pearls and a ribbon.  I am sharing this tag for the anything but a card challenge #144 over at PDE Linky Party.

Thank you for your visit, enjoy the rest of the weekend.  I hope you have had or have scheduled your annual mammogram.

Wednesday Musings

Hello and happy Wednesday, we have had seasonal Fall temps the last few days.  Today is the final day of volleyball season so it will culminate our daughter's junior varsity team participation.  It has been both challenging and frustrating at times but she made it through and was actually selected team captain.  We are looking forward to her continued growth in the sport so we will be seeking other opportunities for her now that the school season is over.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together using sketch #259 from Freshly Made Sketches after seeing  a card that my friend Felisa from The ScrapinDiva shared on her blog using the same sketch.  I used paper from my scrap stash that came from a Darice Embellished by Dena paper pad, a Spellbinder die and a few enamel dots and the card was done.  Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll come back again soon.

Volleyball Camp

Hello and happy Monday, enjoying the mild temps even though my sinuses are causing me havoc!
I am back today sharing another LO that should have been but because I am so far behind with my LOs I am just getting it done.  I couldn't go to the crop so I decided to work on some LOs at home when I wasn't doing chores or running errands.  It was hard narrowing it down to just four pictures since I had taken so many pictures of her week at volleyball camp.  The pattern paper and the enamel dots came from a kit that I got at the recent CKC, everything else has been in my stash and all that is left to do is add the journaling.  Take care and have wonderful week.

Go Pink for the Cause

Hello and happy Saturday, I am back today to share my breast cancer awareness card.  Almost everything that I used on the card from a Me&My Big Ideas mambikit that I purchased several years ago.  Earlier this week  I almost picked up another paper pad in TM glad I didn't since I still had some stuff left from this kit!  I really need to shop my stash more as the hoarding is out of hand!   I will be sharing this card as my last challenge over at Scraps of Color/Embrace Your Art.   Thank you for your visit, have a great weekend.

Thursday Musings

Hello and happy Thursday, we have been enjoying some unseasonably warm temps this week.  I have been extra busy at work and after work so I haven't had much time to play.  I'm a little down because I won't be attending the weekend crop that I usually attend in October, oh well such is life.  Today I'm sharing a picture of  some of my family taken at my mom's party on Saturday.  I made the photo booth frame which was a big hit!  Take care and have a wonderful day.

Happy Boss's Day

Hello and happy Monday, it's National Pasta Day and National Boss's Day!  The weekend was full and this week is every fuller, got to slow down!  Today I am sharing a card that my co-workers asked me make as I was about to leave work on Friday.  They wanted to know what we could do for our manager and I suggested a gift card so I was charged with making the card and they would get the gift card.  I just got up this morning and pulled these items that I used from my stash and put the card together!  Take care, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Holiday Card Swap

Hello and happy Friday, another busy weekend.  Last minute Molly is rushing to finish the photo prop and banner for my mom's birthday party tomorrow.   I will share some pictures from this project next week.

I didn't realize that the deadline to get my cards in for the swap is next Saturday so I need to step it up!  This is one of the reasons I don't like to do swaps as I can't do requirements and deadlines!  Today I am sharing the card that I will be mass producing after I get back home from my mom's party.  I used paper from the Core'dinations Merry & Bright paper pack, I think I picked it up last year.  I cut the window with my cameo, the wreath using a Memory Box die, added a few gems and this card was done.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Happy 75th

Wow, I forgot to share my post yesterday so here it is today!  Screaming Happy 75th Birthday to my mom!  Although my mom won't see this post unless I show it to her when we go down for her party on Saturday.  So blessed to be able to celebrate my mom, she is really an anchor for our family.   I have been busy working on props, decorations and cards as we will be celebrating her birthday on Saturday!  Today I am sharing one of the cards that I made for her, my original intention was to make 75 cards but my mom would have had a fit.  It is just a no bulk shaker card using some stickers, Recollections fun in a jar and Provocraft Celebrations paper.  Take care and enjoy your day!

Monday Musings

Hello and happy Columbus Day!  It seems like forever since I shared, it has been a really busy last few days.  Although hurricane Matthew changed directions we still received heavy rain and moderate winds all day Saturday which resulted in power outages and street flooding.  We still have some power outages which caused some schools to be closed today.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together using sketch inspiration from sketch #193 over at CAS(E) this sketch.  I used mostly paper scraps, a dot embossing folder, cut the tree (added some stickles) using my Silhouette Cameo and the sign from the Freshly Picked cricut cartridge.  I'm participating in a card swap so I am playing around with several different designs before I make all of the cards.  Thank you for your visit, I hope you'll come back again!

Let it Snow

Oh no, not really!  It's Thursday and I am not sure where the week has gone but I'm happy because I am off work tomorrow as a matter of fact I was off on Tuesday too.  I am off tomorrow because I am going to the Creative Keepsake Convention (CKC ) this weekend, I can't believe it is finally coming to Richmond, so glad hurricane Matthew has changed course and we should only get some rain showers.  Today I am sharing a quick card that I put together while sorting through some leftover embellishments.  I had been wanting to use my snowflake embossing folder so when I came across these leftover stickers I just decided to use them.  I just layered everything on the embossed layer and then added it to the base with some pop-dots.  Even though you can't see it, I did spray the card with some glimmer mist.

Take care, have a wonderful weekend.

Friday Musings

It's still raining here, the forecast calls for some relief from the rain tomorrow and Sunday.  I'm looking forward to the rain ending as I have two events tomorrow and I don't want to have to drag an umbrella and I am wearing sandals!  Today I am sharing my Tea Time LO that I've been working on for several months,   My daughter and I attended a mother/daughter Mother's Day tea in May sponsored by a girl's mentoring group at a church.  We enjoyed it so much that my daughter decided to join the mentoring group, it is called God's Nia and she even ran and was elected Vice-President of the group.  I used the Forever Young, Songbird and Suburbia cricut cartridges, some Smooch accent ink and AC wood veneer embellishments.  The pattern paper came from The TradeWinds paper stack from DCWV.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Happy Fall

Hello and happy rainy Tuesday, the state fair is here so we are guaranteed rain this week!  It never fails and surely puts a damper on the whole event.  I am back today to share a card that I put together using sketch inspiration from Sunday Stamps sketch #136, scraps of paper and embellishments from my stash.  I cut the tree using the CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.  I used my label maker for the sentiment.    I love clean and simple projects that allow me to use my stash even though it seems like I am not putting a dent in the piles!  Take care and have a wonderful day.

Get Well Soon

Hello and happy Sunday!  The weekend goes by way too fast especially when on Saturday your schedule is booked from the start of the day until you are so tired all you can do is go to bed!  Which means you will be busy on Sunday too.  When I woke up yesterday I had a text from my DH saying he needed four cards, he said he would help but I knew that meant he needed them right away!  I used a sketch from FUSION for inspiration for two of the cards.  When he asks for cards they are usually for his fraternity brothers so I usually use the same colors with a little variation and not too many embellishments.  I used embossing folders and the Simply Sweet cricut cartridge for the sentiment.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Friday Musings

Hello and happy Friday, it's the weekend!  I am back today to share a birthday card that I made for my cousin Kathina, her birthday was yesterday and of course her card will arrive late!  The sketch inspiration for the card came from Tuesday Morning Sketches,  I used paper from the My Minds Eye Happy Day 6x6 paper pad.  I also use another one of the dies that I ordered from Ebay that came from China, a Spellbinder's die for the scallop circle, a MS punch for the butterflies and a few enamel dots.  I am also sharing this card for challenge #267, use three different pattern papers over at Hiding in my Craft Room and the butterfly challenge over at Use Your Stuff.   Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Happy Fall Yall

Happy Thursday and happy Fall officially in a few hours!  I meant to share yesterday but just didn't get to it, I am coming up on a very busy month so I am having to devote more time to those things. I will be sharing those events on my blog so stay tuned!   Today I am happy to share a project that my daughter helped me complete and she has proudly displayed it on our front door!    It is a scarecrow wreath that was another Maymay Made It inspired project.   I had some stuff in my stash and I purchased the remaining items from Wal-Mart, Dollar Tree and ACMoore.  Our original version used a pipe cleaner for the mouth but I didn't like it so I just decided to draw one with a permanent marker. You can find the scarecrow wreath tutorial here, we made ours last month but waited until today to hang it on our door!  Take care, I hope you'll come back soon.

Happy Birthday Paul

Hello and happy Monday, I survived the weekend!  Today is the 14th birthday for our nephew Paul so I am sharing the card that I made for him, last Monday was his brother's 15th birthday and I forgot so I had to make him a card  too!  The sketch inspiration for this card came from sketch #288 over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.   I used paper from the Graphics 45 Sport 6x6 paper pad,  a football jelly sicker that has been in my stash forever, a stamped sentiment, a few Queen & Co. Jellies and the card was done.  Than you for your visit, I hope you will come back again soon!
