Happy 50th

Hello and happy Wednesday, I am back today to share one of the birthday cards I made for my DH!  It is a file from the Silhouette online store, I just added some wood veneer stars and his name, used some real wood paper for his name.  Now that I am looking at it I may put it in a frame if I can find one.   Originally we had lots of plans to celebrate this day but as life and circumstances would have it, the celebration will be different.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Wednesday!

Tuesday Musings

Hello and happy Tuesday, more warm temps!  I am back today to  share a card that I put together for someone that had a stroke last week.  I haven't visited her but my DH wanted to make sure we sent her a card as she is the wife of one of his fraternity brothers.  As a matter of fact we have two things in common we are both married to men in the same fraternity and we both have the same first name. I am happy that I actually used one of the dies that I picked up recently from TM along with mostly paper from my scraps, the pattern paper is from the Provocraft Celebrations pad, I even added some glimmer mist to the rose!  I really like the die so you will see it again soon!

Hello Sunday

Hello and happy Sunday, last full week before the hustle and bustle of school starts!  Lots going on, the next few weeks will be really busy so I need to step up my crafting game so I won't get even further behind!  Today I am sharing another card for the FB card group going postal to a kid in PA tomorrow.  He likes basketball and soccer, I used my watercolor crayons, the Create a Friend cricut cartridge, a TPC Studio stamp and a few sequins and the card was done!

Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Friday Musings

It's the weekend and I'm just still trying to get past some challenges.  I know that God has it so I just need to stand still!  I am feeling a little emotional as tomorrow marks the third year of my dear sister's death.  I have been trying not to be sad but there are other things going on right now that is making it very hard.  On to today's card,  I meant to share this card several days ago but as life would have it I didn't finish the post so here it is today.  It is another card that I put together for the FB card group, I used a kraft card base, some  DCWV paper, a MS punch and some Darice embellishments.  Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

College Tour

It's Sunday and I feel like I need a nap!  I came in from church, had a snack, put a load of clothes in the washer and added some journaling to a LO.  Yes, a LO is what I am sharing today, it has been a long time, nothing fancy but another picture scrapped.  In April my daughter went to North Carolina with the Delata Gems to visit North Carolina A&T and UNC Greensboro so I scrapped their group picture. Everything used for this LO has been in my stash for a while to include the pattern paper from the Colorbok Old Glory paper pad, the 50 states and CTMH Artiste cricut cartridges, a sticker and some rhinestone stars.  I still need to add names and it will be done, the picture doesn't look too good and the gold writing on the map doesn't show up well.  Now I'm thinking I might need to redo this whole LO.

Thank you for your visit, I hope you will come back soon.  Wishing you and yours a wonderful week!

Hello Friday

Hello and happy Friday, it's weekend!  Today I am sharing another card that I put together for one of the request on the FB group.  Although I like how the card  came out, this is not how I envisioned it when I started.  I finally used some of the washi tape that has been in my stash for a while along with a Hero Arts stamp set that I just had to have after seeing a project that someone else created using it.  Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Wednesday Wanderings

Wow, this month is almost over!  August and September are busy birthday months for our family and of course I haven't finished my cards.  I really need to step up my game and put together some cards so they will be ready when I need them.  Today I am sharing a birthday card that I made for our nephew, his birthday is next Tuesday, he and my BIL both were born on August 23.  Sketch inspiration for this card came from challenge #283 over at Try Stamping on Tuesday.   I used paper from a Gtaphics 45 6x6 Sports paper pad, one of my recent purchases fromTM along with a die and stamp from Crafter's Companion.  Everything else used has been in my stash for sometime!  Thank you for stopping by, I hope you will stop by again soon.

Monday Musings

Hello Monday, it has been well over a week since I last shared.  Lots going on, not enough hours in a day but I have managed to put some cards together for the FB card group one of which I am sharing today.  I am back in spend less, create more mode as I have been spending way too much lately.  I can't believe I was running around to all the local Tuesday Mornings picking up more stuff to add to my stash.  I even had the nerve to call the inquiry line trying to locate an item, just plain foolishness! Oh well back to the card I'm sharing, the pattern paper is from an K&Co mat pad that has been in my stash forever, used a Darice die to cut the flowers, a MS punch for the butterflies and some pearls from my stash have yet to open the new goodies.  Take care and have a wonderful week.

Saturday Musings

It has been a busy week with lots of twists and turns so there's still much to be done during these two days off work.  I have been in training at work so that means I have been away from my desk.  My daughter spent the week volunteering at her school for new student orientation in addition to finishing up her conditioning training for volleyball.  Today I am sharing  a card that I put together using some scraps that I had left from my holiday cards last year.   My paper scraps really don't seem to be moving, I really need to devote some time to organizing and using it!  Oh well this clean and simple card came from the  last year's holiday scraps!    Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Get Well Soon

Hello Thursday, looking forward to the weekend hoping to get in some major play time.  Today I am sharing another card that I made for the FB card angel group.  I even used some watercolor crayons for the background, I picked them up during one of my Michaels clearance hauls.  Proud of myself that I didn't let them sit around unopened/unused for a long time.   I also used some Spellbinders mixed media paper, a Sizzix die and  a MS punch.  This card has already gone postal and I am all current with the card group requests so now I need to get busy on some other projects.

Take care and I hope you will come back soon.

Happy Birthday Felisa

Today is my friend Felisa's birthday and this is the card  that I made for her.  I sure hope she gets it as I asked someone that works at the post office to mail it but she had a family crisis so I didn't want to ask her if whether she mailed it or not (didn't want to seem insensitive).  I hate that I waited until the last minute and had to ask someone else to mail the card.  I created this card using the Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Flourish Scroll and. a K&Co Studio112 flower die; I received the flower die cut as part of a RAK.  Nevertheless I know that she'll have a wonderful birthday because she is blessed and highly favored.

Take care, stay cool and have a terrific Tuesday.

Seek Sweetness

Hello and happy Monday, what happened to the weekend?  I just can't seem to get anything done during the weekend because it's always somewhere to go or something to do!  School will be starting soon which means my time will be even more limited.  My daughter recently finished her summer program and now she is concentrating on her summer reading and volunteering.  Today I am sharing another card that I created for the FB card group.  I used paper from the My Minds Eye Happy Day 6x6 paper pad and a stamp set from Studio 29 Designs.   The card started out being a birthday card but I changed the sentiment so I am using it as an uplifting card!  Take care and have a wonderful week.
