Hello Friday

Hello Friday, it's raining hard here right now so of course I'd rather be in the bed! It's the weekend, do you have plans?  I'm back today to share another card that has gone postal to another child in need of some encouragement.  I used paper from a 4x6 pad that was gifted to me many years ago, I think it came from Hobby Lobby.  The die is another one of the dies that I purchased off Ebay from China, I really like it but it took several tries before I could get it to cut correctly.  I am sharing this card for the anything goes challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas and Crafty Gals Corner.  Thank you for your visit, take care and enjoy your weekend.

Smile

Hello and happy Thursday, one more day until the weekend.  Cooler temps and rain in the forecast today.  I didn't get to bed until after 1:00 this morning so I am really dragging.  Today I am sharing the card that I made to send to a 12 year old cancer patient, I used sketch 480 from Mojo Monday.  I used more paper from the Happier  6x6 paper pad, the camera die is from Amy Tangerine and the bow die(added a gem) is one that I ordered from China.  I am also sharing this card for challenge #257 - Spring is in the Air over at  Use Your Stuff.   Take care and I hope you have a terrific Thursday.

Tuesday Musings

Hello and happy Tuesday, cool temps and rain here today.  Today I am sharing another anniversary card, I am still not finished with anniversary cards!  I really like how this one came out as I have been wanting to try this style of card for quite sometime.  I used a stitched rounded rectangle die, some Dollar Tree foil  paper and Sizzix word dies to create this one layer card.  I added the layer to the card base with foam tape.  I will be making this style of card again soon!  I am sharing this card for the sentiment only challenge over at CAS on Sunday.   Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back soon.

Quite the Pear

Hello and happy Sunday, more nice temps today.  Yesterday I was so busy that When I finally got in I went to bed.  I am doing a driveby post this afternoon as I need to get some chores done before DH returns from a weekend trip!  Today I am sharing another anniversary card that I created using skerch inspiration from Sketch N Scrap.  The stamp is one that has been sitting unused in my stash forever so I decided to use it since I was using green paper from my scrap stash.

Happy Anniversary

Hello Saturday, the forecast calls for nice weather today.  Wow, it has been a long time since I have shared on my blog for a whole week, seven days straight!  It just means I have been busy documenting memories and creating cards.  I looked at my calendar and I have quite a few friends celebrating anniversaries next month so I am getting them done now!  For this card I used sketch #280 from Freshly Made Sketches for inspiration, paper from the American Crafts Crimson 6x6 paper pad and some Recollections enamel dots. Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Our Family

Hello Friday and welcome weekend!  I'm back today to share another LO from my mother's birthday album, I am happy to say that I shipped it to her yesterday.  I hope she'll be pleased because there won't be any changes except adding the names the next time I go visit.  The chipboard flower stickers are from studio 112 (K&Co) from JoAnn's and they have been in my stash for a long time but the Our Family wood veneer title came from Tuesday Morning within the last few months.  I'm sharing this LO for challenge #115 Anything but a Card over at Crafty Gals Corner.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you and your family have a great weekend.

Happy Spring

Hello and happy Monday, starting off with cool temps for the first day of spring and they are calling for rain later.  I am off and running since I was out of the office on Friday but I wanted to stop by and say that I finished my mom's birthday album and it will be going postal within the next few days.  I am not sure when  I will go visit and I want to surprise her since I promised I would have it done by the end of the month.  The only thing left to do is add the names which I will do later.  So today I am sharing another a 2-page LO from the album.  Take care and I hope you'll come back again soon.

Sunday Musings

Hello and happy Sunday, nice temps early yesterday but later in the evening it was a different story.  Today it is cloudy with light rain and some flurries not too far from us and tomorrow is the first day of Spring.  Today I am sharing one of the LOs from an 8x8 album that I am working on from my mom's 75th birthday celebration last October.  This project has gone unfinished long enough, I promised my mom it would be done by the end of this month.  I plan to have it done before I go to bed tonight, I may share more later this week.   Since the album is small and it is important to showcase the pictures there will be limited embellishments.  On this LO I used some rub-ons and a mixture of thickers and letters cut with my SLICE.   Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful week.

Thursday Musings

Wow, it's Thursday and I am starting to wonder where has the week has gone.  I am so ready for spring but it looks like old man winter is not ready to release it's grips!  Today I am sharing a birthday card that I made for a one year old that recently lost his mother so we decided to send him a care package for his birthday.   Most of the paper came from my scrap stash and the squirrel die cut came from the Birthday Bash cricut cartridge and the sentiment is a  stamp from Hampton Arts.  I am sharing this card for the birthday bash challenge over at Bitten By the Bug2.  Take care and try to stay warm if you live in an area where it is freezing cold.

It's Sunday and the start of another work week and I'm starting early.  I'm stopping by today with a driveby post as there just never seems to be enough time!  Today I am sharing another clean and simple card that I created using sketch inspiration from Freshly Made Sketches.  I used TH distress ink for the base of the card (hard to see in the picture),  scraps from my stash, cut the little sail boat with my SLICE, a stamp and a few sequins and this card was done.  This card is going postal to a little boat that recently lost his mother so we are sending him and his brother care packages.  Take care and have a wonderful week.

Girls Rock

Hello and happy Thursday, more wind but nice temps again today before more cold weather this weekend.   I meant to share this LO in honor of  International Women's Day yesterday but such as life would have it I didn't get around to it.  So here it is today a LO that showcases the day my daughter and I rocked our pearls as part of the movement to honor former First Lady Michelle Obama for her birthday.  I struggled with my paper choice for this LO but I finally chose papers from one of the Craft Smith hot buy paper pads from Michaels, can't remember the name right now.  The flowers are some Prima flowers that I picked up during one of my Tuesday Morning visits, I altered the center by adding some pearls and I used a Spellbinders dies for the greenery.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you are inspiring, growing, nuturing, encouraging and complimenting the girls/women in your life and community.

Red for Heart Health

Hello and happy Friday, its so cold here today nothing like the nice temps we had earlier this week and they are calling for frost tonight.  I'm back today to share a LO that I created for Women's Heart Health when my daughter and I wore red the first Friday in February.  I think I used the cricut Mickey font cartridge for the lettering and the heart, didn't note it when I put the LO together during last month's crop.  The polka dot paper was left over from another project, added a few sequins and this LO was done.    I'm sharing this LO for the Cardz TV Anything Goes Designer Challenge #4.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back again soon.

Get Well Soon

Hello and happy Wednesday,  cooler temps and rain today.  I'm back today with another card that I put together for the FB card angel group.  Sketch inspiration for this card came from the February sketch challenge over at Scrapbook and Cards Today, I didn't get to share it over there but I'm sharing it for the use a sketch challenge over at Use Your Stuff.  This was a perfect challenge for me as I almost always use sketches for inspiration.   I used paper from the Paris & Co. by My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad, a tag die,  a Lawn Fawn stamp set and I even did a little coloring!  Take care and have a wonderful Wednesday.
