Happy Day

Hello and happy cold Wednesday!  Happy Birthday to Justin, my first born who reminded me over the holidays that he was an old man.  I hope and pray that he is blessed with many more years of celebrating his birth.  Today I am sharing a LO of my two heartbeats using a picture taken of them last summer when they got to see each other in Pittsburgh.  They are the apple of each other's eyes which makes me totally blessed.  It is another one of my signature simple LOs but I did step out of my comfort zone and did some stenciling, everything used has been in my stash for a number of years.  I am sharing this LO for the Random Word challenge over at Soul Scrappers and my word is happy!  Take care, have a wonderful Wednesday and try to stay warm.

Celebrating Justin

Hello and happy Monday, raining and really wet outside today; but I'm grateful!  I am excited to share with you that for the next two weeks I will be celebrating my two children, all post/projects will be for them or about them!  My son's birthday is this week and my daughter's birthday is next week.  Today I am sharing the birthday card that I created for my son from his sister, I used the sketch inspiration from sketch #248 over at Atlantic Hearts.  The pattern paper came from the love Nicole Time Machine 6x6 paper pad and the sentiment stamp is from Stampendous.  I'm sharing this card for the Shopping Our Stash birthday challenge #338.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back soon.

Sunday Musings

Hello and happy Sunday, raining outside today and I am at work for a few hours so that means I won't be going to church today.  I meant to post  yesterday but as time would have it I didn't get around to it, so much to do and so little time to get it done!  Today's card is a Valentine's Day card that I put together using inspiration from sketch #114 over at  Sketch N Scrap,  paper from the Pebbles Be Mine 6x6 pad, a Studio G felt heart and other misc. items from my stash; all items used have been in my stash for at least a year!  This is my first V-day card for this year and since I have some in my stash from last year I am not sure I'll make too many more.  I'm also sharing this card for the any holiday challenge #337 over at Hiding in my Craft Room and the anything goes challenge #32 over at Cardz TV.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Babies are a Blessing

Hello and happy Thursday, cooler temps in the forecast today.  Today's card is a super simple baby card that I put together using misc. scraps from my stash.  I think the pattern paper may be from Paper Studio, I know the stamp was one that I picked up from HL some time ago, the stitched rectangles are from Pink & Main and I used the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge to cut the monkey.  I am sharing this card for the Make a Baby Card Challenge over at Soul Scrappers.   hope you have a wonderful day.

Family Photo Shoot

Hello and happy Tuesday, more mild temps with rain in the forecast today.  Today I am sharing the third LO that I have completed this year.  I finished it over the weekend and have shared it on FB,  as a matter of fact it is my cover page!  I used pictures that we took last month when my son was home for the holidays, it had been a while since we had taken pictures together.  I used inspiration from Organized and Creative Mom, the link is to her YT channel for some reason I couldn't capture her blog link.  I used papers from an old K&Co. Specialty paper pad, cut the title using the Elegant Embellishments  Cricut cartridge, some wood veneer cameras that I painted and an Amy Tangerine die for the other camera.  Another memory documented and in the books!  Thank you for your visit and I hope you will come back soon.

Sunday Musings

Hello and happy Sunday, the weather has been really nice today so I am just getting around to posting.  I know you get tired of me saying but where does the weekend go?  It never fells I can't seem to get even  half of the things done on my to do list!  I did manage to get through the car wash line yesterday.  Today I am sharing another holiday card where I used inspiration from sketch #129 over at Fab Friday.   The pattern paper and the cut apart came from the Simple Stories Classic Christmas 6x6 paper pad.  This trying to do something craft related everyday is becoming a real challenge, I guess I could use my cleaning and organizing time too!  Take care and have a wonderful week.

Friday Musings

Hello and happy Friday, the kids are back in school today and I'm looking forward to warmer temps! Today I am sharing a card that I put together using sketch inspiration from card sketch #113 over at Sketch N Scrap.  I used papers from the My Mind's Eye Honey Cake  6x6 pad, some startburst dies and a stamp from Cardz TV  Happy Days set for the sentiment. I even made the little banner using scraps after watching a Xyron video pop up in my feed on FB.   I'll be sharing this card for the Anything Goes Challenge #31 over at Cardz TV and the Super Scraps challenge over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

Snow Day

Hello Wednesday, another snow day for the area kids but I came into work.  I was out yesterday for a funeral so I decided to come in today, I plan to work all day unless the weather gets bad.  Today I am sharing a birthday card created using sketch inspiration from Clean & Simple Stamping.  The paper came from the My Mind's Eye A Happy Heart 6x6 paper pad, used a Spellbinder's die, a Prima flower, a brad (which I hadn't used in a long time) and my SLICE to cut the sentiment.  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes Challenge #29 over at Cardz TV.  Take care and enjoy your day.

Happy MLK Day

Hello and happy Monday!  It is very cold outside but double digit temps and they are calling for snow on Wednesday.  I'm doing a quick post today, normally I would be off today but I came in because I have to be off tomorrow.  We will do something later in the week to celebrate MLK Day.  Today I am sharing my second LO of 2018 and it uses pictures from one of my daughter's mentoring groups.  Everything used on this LO  has been in my stash for a long time with the exception of the doll that I cut using the Teen Scene cricut cartridge and I tell you putting together the layers can make your head spin!  I'm sharing this LO for the Tic Tac Toe LO challenge over at Soul Scrappers.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a marvelous Monday!

Clean & Simple

Hello and happy rainy Friday, I'm doing a driveby post today as I just need to get on with doing some other things!  As you all know my style of crafting is clean and simple, not a lot of fanfare just document the  memory, put the cards together and keep it moving.  Today I am sharing my second holiday card that I put together using sketch inspiration from Clean and Simple Stamping.  The pattern paper is from Doodlebug Designs (I think) and the wooden trees  are American Craft Bits that I picked up on clearance from ACMoore.  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes Challenge #29 over at Cardz TV.  Thank you for your visit, have a wonderful holiday weekend.

Thursday Musings

Hello and happy Thursday, the kids went back to school yesterday and the forecast calls for more mild weather today.  I am still on track with my 2018 crafting challenge which brings me to today's card share.  The plan is to create at least one holiday card per week so I will have my holiday cards done before I need them in December!  For this card I used sketch inspiration from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, some misc. paper scraps from my stash and  the December 25th Cricut cartridge to cut the word JOY.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes Challenge #2 over at PDE Linky Party.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.

Happy Born Day

It's Wednesday and today is my birthday!  So happy and thankfully blessed to celebrate another born day.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together over the weekend using dies from the Spellbinders  Shapeabilities Bordered Sentiment Set along with some Cricut Celebrations paper that has been in my stash for a long time.  The inspiration for this card came right from the packaging since this was my first time using the dies; I picked this set up from TM last Fall.  I'm sharing this card for Something New Challenge #294 over at Use Your Stuff and the Anything Goes Challenge #29 over at Cardz TV.  Thank you for your visit, have a wonderful Wednesday.

Homecoming

Hello and happy Monday, today I am sharing my first LO for 2018.  I used sketch inspiration from sketch #144 over at Sketch N Scrap, the heart pattern paper came from the DCWV High School paper stack, I used Thickers for the title and the Forever Young cricut cartridge for the die cut.  The gem embellishments are from Recollections.  I like how her outfit came together but it was truly a chore pulling it all together after she decided the colors and what she wanted to wear!  I am off to a relatively good start with my challenges even though I am only eight days in.  Take care and stay warm.

Saturday Musings

Hello Saturday, I meant to schedule this post yesterday; I started it but just couldn't get through it.  My heart is heavy and sad as someone dear to me passed unexpectedly yesterday and I woke up this morning not feeling well.  Today's driveby post is a birthday card that I put together using sketch inspiration from  sketch #45 over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  The papers used came from the Studio Calico Darling Dear 6x6 paper pad and the sentiment came from the Hero Arts Happy stamp and die set.  I have mixed feelings about the card and I just might eventually toss it. Thank you for your visit, stay warm and hug your love ones a little tighter.

Snow Day

The kids in our area had a snow day today so I decided to stay home too.  I have spent most of the day watching videos and talking on the phone; shame on me!  Today's card share is one that I put together for the January challenge over at Always Happy Birrthday.  This month's challenge is to include a pink card base.  Sketch inspiration came from Die Cuttin' Divas , challenge #350.   I used papers from the Doodlebug Just a Note paper pad, stitched circle dies and the Cricut Doodlecharm cartridge to cut the hat.  Thanks you for your visit and I hope you will come back soon.

Together

Hello and happy first Wednesday of 2018!  I am doing a quick driveby sharing one of the last LOs that I was able get done in 2017.  I did complete my challenge so I've decided to approach it a little different this year; my goal is do something craft related everyday so we'll see how that goes.  Today's LO is one of my favorites since it uses pictures taken of my two children taken on Christmas Eve while my son was home visiting for the holidays.  We took these picture when we got home from church and later we went to the studio to have family pictures taken; I wasn't so pleased with them so I may or may not scrap them!  I used another sketch from Sketch N Scrap, paper, enamel dots and washi from a Lori Whitlock paper kit.  I cut the tree using a Darice die and letters from my stash for the title.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back again soon.
