Pretty Like Mommy

Hello and happy Saturday, it has been a busy week and in honor of the last day of  National Women's Month I'm sharing today's project.  I really like this picture taken of  my daughter and I last month after she spoke at the Girl Scout's Thinking Day program.  Such a proud moment and this picture captured by her troop leader is one of my favorite pictures with her.  This is another one of my signature simple projects, I did try to step out some by adding some splatter to the LO base and the pattern/speckled paper is some handmade paper that has been in my stash for a long time.  I cut the title using my Silhouette Cameo, the doily, and other page elements are items that I used all the time on my projects.  I'll share this LO for the Anything Goes Challenge #41 over at Cardz TV and the letter A -  Anything But a Card  over at the Alphabet Challenge Blog.  Thank you for your visit enjoy your weekend!

Happy Easter

Hello and happy Friday, it is still cold outside and most of the snow has melted.  It's Friday but there is still lots to be done over the weekend.  Today's super simple card is one that I put together using inspiration from sketch #256 from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and mostly paper scraps from my stash.  I cut the sentiment the bunny using my SLICE machine.  The eye for the bunny is a Studio G gem, used glitter glue on the tail and added it to the card with some dimensional tape.  I'm sharing this card for the Easter challenge #144 over at Cut it Up and  the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge #344 over at Hiding in my Craft Room.  I used the middle row I used an animal, glitter and a die cut.  Thank you for your visit, wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.

Wednesday Wanderings

Hello and happy snowy Wednesday, the kids got another inclement weather day but I braved the elements and came in.  It is freezing cold here in my office and I want to go home and crawl into bed.  Today I am sharing a card that I put together for one of the requests on the FB card angel group.  I used inspiration from sketch #133 from Fab Friday  The paper came from the 6x8 Bella Blvd paper pad that I picked up on clearance a few weeks ago at HL, I think it is called Make Your Mark.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes Challenge #39 over at Cardz TV.  Take care, be safe and come again soon!

Family Matters Most

Hello and happy first day of Spring, I guess mother nature didn't get the memo.  It is cold and rainy outside right now with calls for a wintry mix tomorrow.  I have been so busy that I just haven't had time to play as much as I would like and I'm still not resting well at night.  Today I am sharing a LO that I put together using a picture of  my daughter and her first cousins last summer as we were heading back home from a family reunion.  I still need to scrap the reunion  pictures too.  I used pattern papers from an old K&Co Specialty pad (shopping my stash), misc stickers and gems.   Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll come back soon.

Friday Musings

Hello and happy Friday, it's going to be a long day!  I have been awake since 3 AM, got out of bed and went downstairs, not sure why but I am regretting it right about now.  One of the things that I did was put this card together, using this week's skerch from Clean & Simple Stamping.  I used more paper from the Nicole Love Dream Machine 6x6 paper pad along with some embellishments that have been in my stash for a long time.  This card was created for the FB card angel group and will be going postal today.  I am sharing this card for the Anything Goes Challenge #39 over at  Cardz TV.  Thank you for your visit, have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Spring

Hello and happy Wednesday, can you believe it I'm posting two days in a row!  I just need to sync this daylight life times with my body and everything that is going on!  We were so late this morning!  Just a quick post to share of a card created using sketch #359 from Try Stampin' on Tuesday with an optional challenge of using the color green. This signature simple card came together as I was looking through my scraps of paper for another project.  I think the pattern paper is is from Studio G, the sentiment was stamped using some Crafter's Companion stamps and I added some Jellies from Queen & Co. since I thought the card needed something else!  I'm sharing this card for the First and Third challenge over at Scraps of Color.  Take care, stay warm and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Hello Tuesday

Hello and happy Tuesday, it snowed yesterday so the kids had a two hour delay which meant I came in to work late too.  I feel like I haven't had much time to play way too much other stuff going on right now!  Today I am sharing a card that I put together using sketch inspiration from card sketch #117 from Sketch n Scrap.  I used paper from the American Craft Spring 6x6 paper pad, cut the sentiment using a Love Nicole die and the butterfly has been in my stash forever.  I'm sharing this card for the Anything Goes Challenge #38 over at Cardz TV.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you'll return soon.

Jabberwock

Hello and happy Sunday!  I went to be at 2 AM this morning, didn't set my clocks and woke up really late so we didn't make church.  Today I am sharing another LO that will go in my daughter's high school album.  We are less than a month away from the end of what has been a real eye opening and learning experience.  When my daughter said she wanted to run for Miss Jabberwock her dad was not in agreement but me being mom decided to allow her to participate.  We were going through as a family so I felt the need to support her even though I knew it was a daunting task.  Today's LO uses pictures taken the day the girls were introduced to the sorority members that sponsors the
competition.  Some of the papers and embellishments came from a kit and the rest have been in my stash for a long time.  Thank you for your visit and I hope you will return soon.

Happy March

Hello and happy Thursday, the start of a new month which just happens to National Craft Month!  I have been trying to get this post shared all morning but I have been extremely busy at work, even ate my lunch at my desk!  Today's project share is a LO that I created for the Black History Month bingo challenge over at Scraps of Color.  I originally planned to use some other pictures taken of Baby Girl on one of her trips to the AA museum in Washington but decided to highlight her creating her own history.  She has really grown since joining the Girl Scouts in 3rd grade and is currently making preparations to earn her gold award.  Last summer she traveled to Ohio as a competitively selected Ambassador representing the Commonwealth of Virginia at the National Girl Scout conference and this past Saturday she was the speaker during Thinking Day for her service unit.  This year's theme was Impact so her comments were centered the definition of impact how it relates to Girl Scouts. Thank you for your visit and I hope you return soon.
